Ice fishing in New Brunswick

Ice fishing season in New Brunswick goes from January to the end of March. Anglers must have an ice fishing license. The limits per day are a maximum of 5 sport fishes (trout, bass or landlocked salmon) and 60 smelts.

Here we see the opening in the floor where the ice hole is made. There is seating for two.

Très intéressant de voir l'intérieur, on remarque à peine le trou. Un bon abri au chaud même si ça manque un peu de décoration pour être plus chaleureux...

Great glimpse of the inside of this hut. Is that a bottle of Canada Dry on the window cill?, very appropriate. I also wonder what is the list above the window? Cheers,

@Williams: Thanks Paul! Yes it's a Canada Dry. As for the list, I never asked but it looked like a record of some sort of the daily catches.

Are those steps going down to the ice?
Lots of wood there, is there a small wood-burning stove in there too?

@Judy aka L@dybug: Yes because this hut is on wheels like a trailer, the steps go done to the ice so that he can drill or cut a hole in the ice. As for a wood burning stove, check my next post.
